Paul Caissie Trail

The Paul Caissie trail is a non-motorized hiking trail of about 500 meters (1 km round trip) that runs north-south between route 530 and the Grande-Digue marsh next to the dune. It’s an easy trail, but beware of the poison ivy plants at the end of the trail.

The Paul Caissie trail wants to provide local residents and visitors with a first class heritage site by providing access to a marsh, a lagoon and a dune on the same premises. The addition of a bird watching platform, several swallow nesting boxes, an interpretive panel and an osprey nesting platform all contribute to environmental awareness.

North access: from route 530 at civic number 1000, there is a parking spot (link) identified with a sign next to the owner’s entrance. There is another sign to indicate the beginning of the trail.
