Snowshoe loan program

Since our trails are not plowed, you can snowshoe on them, except on part of the Quatre-temps trail (indicated in dotted lines on the map). All parking lots are cleared of snow, except for that of the Paul Caissie trail.

Sentier Pluriel de Grande-Digue inc., in collaboration with the Les Digues market, is very pleased to offer a new snowshoe loan program to help you enjoy the wonders of winter.  This program is made possible through the financial support of the Government of New Brunswick’s Active Communities Fund.

This free service is design to promote physical activity among people in the community of Grande-Digue and the surrounding area and to allow users to take advantage of the region’s snowshoe trails.

Equipment available

This is an activity that you can enjoy as a family, since different sizes of snowshoes are available.

Twelve pairs of snowshoes are offered in three different sizes as well as seven pairs of telescopic trekking poles.  The primary determination of size is the total weight the snowshoes will carry.  A rule of thumb when looking at the chart below is to add 10 lbs (4.5 kg) to your weight to account for winter clothing and boots.  When in doubt, go up one size.
